Collection "Fari Educativi"

The world change and the education, to be sustainable, must change. But in which direction should educational and social institutions be directed?
And in which one our personal commitment as parents, educators, students?

To these questions the Gravissimum Educationis Foundation tries to answer in the collection «Fari Educativi» (Educational Beacons), published by the Libreria Editrice Vaticana.
In the different publications, the reader will find an unity of interests – the Education - and the thematic and scientific variety ensured by the involvement of experts with different cultural and disciplinary backgrounds. Time to time, they will shed new light on the contribution that the education can give to the great social challenges: democracy, human mobility, hunger and malnutrition, recent technologies ...
The hope is that, with a humanistic and Christian vision, the series will increase the interest, the debate, the involvement for an ambitious and collective educational alliance.

Book 1 - "Young People’s Reality. Educational Challenges"

This publication analyzes the results of the survey «Young people and the choices», realized on the occasion of the Synod of Bishops dedicated to the topic «Young people, faith and vocational discernment» on a sample of 16,773 students, representative of the most diverse cultures and religions in the five continents. The recent and accurate results of the study constitute a starting point for rethinking educational and youth policies at local, regional, national and international level.
